David and Traci Parker started Parker Insurance in the garage of their home in September 2009. Together they have worked to build an insurance agency that focuses on customer service and doing what is best for the clients. Although David passed away tragically in 2020, Traci continues to own and manage the business. The entire team at Parker Insurance work every day to live up to David’s legacy and the Parker Insurance motto to “Help others at all times”
David H. ParkerFounding Agent
David Parker was born and raised in Rexburg. He graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s degree in Plant Protection and minors in Botany, Biology and Crop Science. After working 10 years in the agriculture business David sought a way to be self-employed and run his own business. David was active in the National Association of Health Underwriters. David had a strong desire to serve his clients to the best of his abilities. He had earned the reputation of having a firm understanding of the healthcare law and was able to explain a complicated system in language anyone can grasp. He found joy in meeting new people and viewed each of his clients as a friend. David passed away in September 2020 in a motorcycle accident. His staff and business continue to operate with the systems and caring customer service he implemented.
Traci ParkerCo-Owner & Agent
Traci is a proud native of Cokeville, Wyoming. Upon marrying David in 2008 she and her two children moved to Rexburg to build a new life. She earned her Associate’s Degree while playing Jr. College volleyball. Traci loves helping people at Parker Insurance. She is now a licensed agent and also continues to manage the office and staff. Traci and her late husband, David, are the parents to five children and one grandchild.
Brian NateCo-Owner & Agent
Brian has traded in his Wyoming cowboy hat and now works side by side with his sister, Traci Parker, as an insurance agent. Brian has worked hard to gain a sound understanding of health insurance. He enjoys helping people. He loves learning and strives to be the best at anything he does–roping, being a husband/father, or helping people with their health insurance.
Brian and his beautiful wife, Rebecca have 3 children. They are enjoying being part of the wonderful community in Rexburg. In Brian’s free time, he can usually be found on a horse practicing or competing in a team roping competition.
Brett is in his 15th year in the Health Insurance business. He was born and raised in Eastern Idaho. Brett enjoys meeting new people as well as working with his existing clients. Every client is his friend and family. Brett is currently the local chapter treasurer for the National Association of Health Underwriters and is currently working on becoming a Certified Self-Funded Specialist. He feels education is very important. He enjoys being involved and aware of any and all changes in the Health Care Marketplace.
Brett is married to the sweetest woman in the world, Debra. They have 5 children, 22 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Brett believes family values are very important. He enjoys making their home a better place alongside Debra. His hobbies include gardening, horses and grandchildren—not necessarily in that order.
Martin Martinez moved from Casper, Wyoming with his loving wife, Katie, and their 6 wonderful children. They’ve grown to love Idaho and of course, Rexburg. Health Insurance is challenging but very rewarding. One of his favorite things is to see the smile and joy from the clients when they realize they will be taken care of and treated like family.
Martin received his degree in Associates of Science specialize in Radiography. He spent 10 years in the Oil and Gas profession. Also, experience with Automotive and Information Technology sales. He likes to say “Every day I learn something new!”
Martin’s family is very important to him. He prefers to do family oriented activities, such as, exploring new areas, watching movies and going on mini vacations to Wyoming. He loves music and has multiple favorite songs. He thanks his mother for the gentle push to play musical instruments—the piano and guitar. Other hobbies include watching sports, reciting movie quotes and trying to find the best restaurant in the surrounding area with his wife.
Braxton has lived in Rexburg for a combined total of about 10 years. He grew up in Cokeville, Wyoming where he found his love for sports. He is a huge fan of football, specifically the Oregon Ducks and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoys watching UFC fights on the weekends. Braxton is one of our newest agents and has found a passion for assisting others with their health insurance needs and finding ways to help them in the best way possible. He enjoys the people he works with as well as the office environment. He was privileged to have spent time working around his step father, David Parker who taught him a lot about the health insurance world. Braxton enjoys hearing about problems clients have, understanding the problem, and then finding the solution that would benefit the client or give them some form of understanding.
Braxton has plenty of interests outside of football, having experience or understanding in various fields, such as: cars, music, golf, snowmobiling, writing, as well as journalism. He enjoys learning and hopes to be with Parker Insurance for as long as he can. Braxton enjoys learning about people and hearing their various experiences people have had through their lives and how they found success in what they do.
Walt was born and raised in Kansas. Hobbies that he acquired while growing up include participating in sports, running, and playing piano. He is the second oldest of five children and has parents who are also insurance brokers. Although he currently resides in Idaho, he is a huge Kansas Jayhawk supporter.
Immediately following his high school graduation in 2019, Walt went on a two-year service mission trip to Argentina and California. While in Argentina and California, he developed new skills such as learning Spanish, communicating effectively, and how to work diligently. Throughout the years, Walt has found a love for serving others and desires to do whatever he can to help.
Cathy MunozCustomer Service Specialist
Cathy Munoz moved to Rexburg from Gilbert, Arizona December of 2014. Cathy is a tremendous asset to Parker Insurance. She brings with her 25 years of experience. She began working in the insurance business in 1989 with Allstate Insurance in the Auto Claims Department handling non-complex claims. She then worked as a processor and eventually advanced to assisting the adjusters in the Bodily Injury Department. She also worked with the attorney’s in the Represented Unit. Upon retiring from All State, she decided to move to Rexburg to enjoy country living.
Cathy and her husband, Frank, have been married since 1980 and together have six children and are proud grandparents to 19 grandkids. Cathy loves working at Parker Insurance and greeting our customers with her contagious smile. She works very hard to meet our clients’ customer service needs.
Jasmine HathawayCustomer Service Rep
Jasmine graduated from Madison High School and has been in Rexburg for 15 years. Jasmine married her husband, Dylan in 2019 and in 2021, they had their son, Drez who he has been their pride and joy since he came into the world. Jasmine enjoys being a mom and chasing around her son while working for Parker Insurance and working as a licensed Cosmetologist who specializes in cuts, colors, and eyelashes. Jasmine loves the fast paced environment that Parker Insurance has to offer and consistently loves to tackle new projects. She has been managing the social media for Parker Insurance and enjoys finding new fun videos to put together for the staff to participate in and show the personalities of each member through the posts she creates. She also has a passion for using social media to educate clients and followers as to how health insurance works and the benefits of having certain coverages. She continues to learn and find more ways to give personality to Parker Insurance through social media.
